Being pregnant is an amazing thing, but it can also be pretty annoying at times! On top of the swollen feet, tender breasts and needing to snack all the time, your body is changing shape all the time, which means your normal clothes don’t fit properly! It sucks to find a dress you once loved is suddenly too tight around the waist, or bunches up in a weird way because your body composition has changed to make room for the tiny human you’re growing. So you go online and look for some nice maternity dresses that will be comfortable, but still let you feel like you. Except they all look like giant moo-moos and when you try them on you feel like a shapeless sack of potatoes.

Don’t worry, every pregnant woman has cried over her clothes at least once. But we’re here to help you find some cute maternity dresses that mean you don’t have to sacrifice your style during pregnancy.

H&M

If your aesthetic is minimalist, chic and a bit comfy, or you just need some basic clothing for work, then H&M might surprise you. It’s one of the most popular places to shop for maternity staples like jeans, leggings, t-shirts and trousers. But they also have a lovely range of midi dresses that are soft enough to let your skin breathe in the warmer months, and give you the opportunity to accessorise over the top. It’s a must-shop spot for maternity workwear of any type.

ASOS

ASOS have always been a very trend-led brand, and their maternity section is no exception. They have a range of over 2,500 maternity items for you to peruse through, all following what’s trending now so you can stay in style and rock the baby bump. And because it’s a boutique, you’re getting access to maternity clothes from brands like River Island, Nobody’s Child and New Look, as well as their own brand of maternity clothing. Oh yeah, and they’re very affordable too, so your new wardrobe doesn’t have to break the bank!

Tilbea

This brand was first started by two mums who were fed up of boring maternity clothes and wanted something more fashionable. So if you’ve found this blog, then Tilbea is right up your alley! Their maternity and nursing clothes are practical, but bold and vibrant. There’s a huge amount of colour, bold animal prints and patterns that will have you buying multiples of the same dress. They have a range of dresses in floaty, wrap and bodycon styles, so you can choose what suits you!

Frugi

Frugi is quite well known for its stunning range of kids clothes in colourful and unique prints. But they also have a gorgeous range of maternity clothing that they keep quite quiet. They’ve got the whole range of maternity wear from jeans, t-shirts and jumpers to dresses in all styles from knee to floor, all in organic cotton and soft modal materials for ultimate comfort. Which, let’s face it, you need in pregnancy! If your style is fun and whimsical, this brand is for you.

Bump & Milk

Another mum-founded brand, Bump & Milk was brought to life by a mum of two boys who had gone through the wringer with her pregnancies. She was tired of the frumpy maternity clothes of old, and wanted to create a maternity brand that was chic, confident and practical. They stock everything from floaty wrap dresses to sweet button-ups and light summer dresses, all with hidden features that make them perfect for pregnancy and breastfeeding. Their clothes are designed to help you feel more like ‘you’, and less like an incubator!

Have we missed somewhere? Do you have a hidden gem for maternity clothes? We’d love to hear about it! Please do share your favourite finds in the comments and let us know where the must-have maternity clothes can be found. And if you’re looking for some great underwear to go under those beautiful new dresses, why not browse our collection today?
