After sun

No we’re not talking about the lotion you reach for when you’ve spent a little too long out in that midday sun, sipping on cocktails or perhaps enjoying a siesta, we’re in fact referring to the care of your swimwear. Here are some tips to help prolong the life of your Elle Courbee swimwear:

• Place your swimwear in a mesh laundry bag to help protect their delicate material should you wish to wash them in a washing machine.
• Invest in some Soak wash for an eco friendly way to wash your swimwear by hand post swim. We particularly like this as you haven’t got to rinse it out afterwards.
• Take more than one swimsuit with you when going away on holiday, as this will allow you to wash one and wear one.
• Try to avoid drying your swimsuit in direct sunlight as this can cause fading. This can be difficult when most hotels have a drying rack out on the balcony. Perhaps consider using one over the bathtub until the sun starts to go down.
• Remember that the dye from swimwear can sometimes bleed when wet, so try to avoid wearing light coloured clothing over the top when drying off.
